About Emma

Music and singing have always been a passion of mine. At seven years old, at primary school, I sang a solo which was recorded on CD, an experience I will always remember and value. As I have matured, my singing has transformed through musical theatre towards a love of classical singing. Also, I learnt to play piano and flute.
My desire has always been to make a living based on my passion for music.
My formal singing training began in 2001 with Tessa Sullivan (LRAM CTABRRSM), and since then I have been eagerly performing in local Eisteddfods, concerts and graded exams. I also attended the ‘European Youth Summer Music’ course in 2009, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I always have been dedicated to music.
In September 2010, I moved to Bristol Cathedral Choir School, a music specialist Academy, due to the many musical opportunities it offered me. There I worked with my singing teacher Lorraine Worley (LRSM performers).  I have also performed vocal solos in many concerts including songs by Brahms, Mozart and Handel. Musical theatre performances have included being in ‘Joseph’ (Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice), ‘Annie’ , ‘Godspell’, and lead female in ‘Suessical the Musical’ by Ahrens and Flaherty.
During my time in Bristol I competed in some young musician competitions, most notably being a finalist in both Bristol Young Musician of the Year and Bath Young Musician.
I studied at the University of Chichester, towards a four-year BMus Vocal Performance degree.
I am enjoyed my time at Chichester University immensely and was
taught by Susan Yarnell and Susan Legg, as well as being busy with the University groups, including Pops Orchestra, Gospel Choir, Otter Consort and the Chamber Choir. I am now the conductor for five choirs in the local area, and am loving being able to share my musical skills with others.
